Ellen is a Senior Portfolio Manager in the EPSRC Advanced Materials Team, where she focuses on two key areas: digital materials and critical minerals. She is particularly interested in how we can use digital tools and approaches to speed up materials discovery and innovation, and how the materials research community can help tackle challenges around critical minerals—whether that’s through recycling, reuse, or finding more sustainable alternatives. Her team’s goal is to bring together a diverse, multidisciplinary community to help develop materials that support a more sustainable future. Prior to this role, she worked in the EPSRC International Team, so she is also happy to chat about international collaboration and opportunities.
