Andrew has a background in drug discovery. He is one of the inventors of capivasertib, an approved treatment for certain types of breast cancer currently undergoing clinical trials as a treatment for prostate cancer. He is interested in creating new computational tools to design molecules with useful properties. In addition to research focused on new medicines, he has recently started applying these methods to design corrosion inhibitors and is interested in finding other high value applications in materials science.
